Durgapur Wildlife Information and Nature Guide Society (WINGS) is a non-profit organization based in Durgapur, West Bengal, working to promote wildlife conservation and nature education across the region.
Founded in 2015, WINGS conducts nature walks, birdwatching sessions, conservation talks, and field visits to national parks and wildlife sanctuaries so communities can experience and understand local biodiversity firsthand.
Beyond outreach, WINGS documents local flora and fauna through surveys and research. Our work has recorded several rare and endangered species in the region. We also advocate for habitat protection and action against illegal wildlife trade.
Through these efforts, WINGS has become an important voice for conservation in Durgapur and surrounding areas — working to preserve biodiversity for present and future generations.
